Case Study: From Invisible to In-Demand – How Bliss Photos Claimed Page 1 on Google
My Client: Melissa of Bliss Photos in York PA
Services Booked: Custom Website Design (includes SEO!)
Before working with Pop Impact, Melissa was struggling to get her photography business found online. Despite being a seasoned wedding photographer since 2017, she was stuck relying on Facebook group posts to generate leads.
She knew her dream clients were out there, but they just couldn’t find her.
Sound familiar?
The Solution: Custom Website Design
Melissa partnered with me to revamp her website and implement an SEO strategy designed to:
- Attract couples in York, PA and Baltimore, MD
- Optimize for high-impact, location-based keywords
- Showcase her brand in a way that converts curiosity 👀 into inquiries 🫰
The Results: Page 1 Rankings + Google Inquiries
Now, if you’re familiar with me here at Pop Impact, you know I’m not about the vanity metrics. You can rank and get traffic all day long, but if you don’t get the inquiries because your website isn’t set up to convert your clients, what’s the point?!
Since Melissa worked with me for her custom website, I was confident in her website being set up in a way to get her clients informed, excited and ready to reach out to her for a session.
Melissa is now ranking on the first page of Google for her target locations and niche services. Here’s a snapshot of her top-performing keywords from Google Search Console:
| Keyword | Average Position |
| Baltimore Wedding Photographer | 4.7 |
| Baltimore Wedding Photographers | 5.6 |
| Wedding Photographers Baltimore | 7.3 |
| Wedding Photographers York PA | 5.2 |
| Photographers York PA | 4.2 |
| Wedding Photographer Baltimore | 3.6 |
| York PA Photographers | 3.8 |
| Wedding Photographer York PA | 6.0 |
| Family Photographer Boston | 3.6 |
| Boston Newborn Photographer | 4.0 |
Hear it from Melissa herself!:
“Britt knows exactly what she’s doing! I’ve been in business for myself since 2017 as a Wedding Photographer and for the longest time, I was relying on making Facebook group posts to get my work out there because I just couldn’t figure out how to be seen on Google. Since hiring Britt to do my SEO, I am now high up on the first page of Google for my area and the nearby area I also work in. I’m actually the first photographer that comes up for my specific area. I have noticed recently that I’m getting more inquiries coming in from Google and I never used to get those. A whole new group of couples are now seeing me. This is HUGE for my business! From now on, anything I need that is SEO related, she will be the person I go to every single time. It can be scary investing money into your business because you’re not sure of what the return will be on your investment, but let me tell you! You won’t be disappointed with her! Thank you so much Britt! I’m so grateful for you!! 🙂”
