That’s what happened when I got a little more bold and decided I, too, wanted to make an impact.
Years ago, my older sisters always called me an ‘online addicted freak’ because I was on AOL so much. Learning coding to make my AOL profile prettier to customizing MySpace profiles for money when I was only a teenager! 😎
For the 15+ years afterwards, I was the website designer that made websites pretty… that’s it. I could give a solid before + after of what a website looked like— a glow-up of sorts. ✨
It wasn’t until I struggled with getting my own website seen that I realized my clients' websites had to do more than just look good.
These websites had to do something. They had to get seen by website visitors AND convert those visitors into clients.
So, do you know what I did? I left my last design agency completely to learn how to make that happen.
A bold move, sure. A terrifying one, definitely. But, it had to happen. I didn’t feel like I could truly offer my design services without also making sure that strategy was behind them.

Without strategy, a website can only have pretty as its potential.
In the four years that I took to focus on strategy, I also focused on myself. As I learned more, my confidence grew. And, by some off-chance of bravery, I found myself soon being able to practice some of those new strategies and see the results proven true.
Those results were seen on a brand new website launch.
